The Only Way is Littlewoods for Mark Wright!

Dapper ITV2 star and Heart FM DJ, Mark Wright has joined Littlewoods as the new brand ambassador for their menswear label, Goodsouls.

The unveiling of his debut capsule collection tied in with the start of London Collections: Men's fashion week. It includes casual t-shirts, jeans and jumpers, as well as suits and outerwear, with the aim of taking men and their wardrobes from date-night to an evening out with the boys.

Gary Kibble, retail director for Littlewoods, said: "We couldn't be more thrilled that Mark has joined the Littlewoods family as style ambassador for our Goodsouls range. His popularity among our customer base is unmatched by any other male celebrity in the UK at the moment and we're confident that his personal style and eye for fashion will translate into a collection that our customers will love."

We're looking forward to working with him in future Littlewoods ads too, and the collection is available from www.littlewoods.com as of today, 20th June.

Topping the charts again!

This may give you a slight sense of déjà vu, but no, we're not repeating old news! Very.co.uk have made it to the top of the Marketing magazine chart of the 'Top Ten Ads of the Week" for ads with the highest recall by viewers this week.

This comes only two weeks after two of our Shop Direct brands occupied the top two spots in the same  chart. With Very taking the top spot, and Littlewoods still sitting pretty at number 4 we're the only fashion retail brands in the top 10 and show that our ads resonate well amongst their audience.

Here's to more Very stylish ads to come!

Creative at Number 10

It's always nice to see our work in good company! Here is our latest campaign for HM Government acting as the backdrop for David Cameron’s speech in support of Small Business at No 10 this week.

The Prime Minister announced that all the recommendations made in a recent report by his Enterprise Advisor Lord Young will be accepted. If you want to see those recommendations Lord Young’s report, click on the image below.

Moments of Truth - New Strongbow Work!

Last night, after the England V Brazil match, was the grand debut of our latest Strongbow advert. The 60s spot is entitled 'Moments of Truth' and encounters blokes in a variety of nerve-wracking situations, showing how fear distorts their reality in each of the scenarios. However, they all triumph, smashing it as they step up and face their fears! From the best man's speech, to the nail-biting penalty shoot out, these characters embody the Strongbow brand which rewards the man who gets the job done.

Beautifully directed by Sam Brown, with the undeniably epic O Fortuna (Carmina Burana) as its soundtrack, the tension is palpable throughout the spot, yet exaggerated facial expressions and comedy moments provide some relief - keeping the suspense but making the ad more entertaining!

This spot is the spearhead of the 2013 'Earn It' campaign which involves a range of Strongbow challenges that men can apply to participate in - if they think they're up to it! The first challenge is looking for fellas to step up to take a ball from top cricket fast bowler Jimmy Anderson.

The ad has received coverage in Campaign magazine and Brand Republic amongst others, but the most overwhelming thing was the amount of Tweets registered after the spot went out. We briefly trended worldwide, and were 8th in the UK! Tweeters really got involved and loved the ad - some even calling it their ad of the year so far. We're all very proud of it, and I for one feel it was definitely worth sitting through a pretty dull football match to see!
