It's a stylish summer with Very.co.uk and the Holiday Shop

"Summer summer summertime... Time to sit back and unwind."

Finally!

So to mark the occasion, our latest ad for Very.co.uk’s Holiday Shop takes us to beautiful Barcelona and celebrates the best of summer living, even if not all is as it first seems. Check it out below:

The ad, which launches today (10th April) opens on a stylish, summer’s evening and shows our first girl looking glam as if she’s posing on a photoshoot, with smoke billowing around her. The camera then swings round to reveal she’s actually cooking on a BBQ with her friends in her garden, which is kitted out with outdoor furniture from Very.co.uk. The following scenes follow a similar pattern, and then in the end scene we meet Fearne Cotton, taking a selfie at the beach with her friend.

Canada, the Spanish commercial directors we worked with on this, took a 360 degree approach to shooting this. The camera constantly moves in a sweeping circular motion, taking in the outfits and surroundings from BBQ to airport, patio and beach.

This is the first time our focus for Very hasn’t just been about style and fashion, we’re widening the reach to the department store offering – from bikinis to BBQs there is everything you need to do summer in style.

As always, we've made a behind the scenes film to give you a sneak peek of how the ad was made. Check it out in the image here:

This campaign will also be supported by national print, OOH and digital which will go live after Easter.

Banish the grey and Bring the Colour with Very.co.uk

As we slowly, and optimistically move towards a bright and colourful Spring and Summer, everyone at St Luke’s is delighted to announce the recent launch of our brand new Spring/Summer campaign, ‘Bring The Colour’ for our client Very.co.uk.

The campaign which features brand ambassador Fearne Cotton is initially set in an entirely grey scene, depicting the cold, dreary winter season. That is until Fearne Cotton steps out of a grey taxi wearing a vibrant pink dress from the new Colour Pop spring range. Steadily, the colour is transcended across other girls wearing the new trend and looking incredible in their bright colourful outfits against others, who are still stuck in their grey, winter clothes. By the end of the advert we see the trend has created a snowball effect and everyone is now wearing the new collection, where the advert ends with the line ‘Bring the Colour’.

The ‘Bring the Colour’ TV campaign for Very.co.uk will be supported by a full range of communication channels, including print, digital, social media and outdoor.

Jon Owen, Retail Director for Very said, “Very.co.uk is on a roll. We are purposefully stepping up our fashion credentials with ever better on-trend collections and super cool advertising.”

Everyone at St Luke’s is incredibly proud of the campaign for Very.co.uk. If you wish to see some exclusive behind the scene footage from the shoot, then please follow the link here.

It's party time with Very.co.uk

Before you know it it’ll be party season, and in every office across the land colleagues will be dressing to impress and celebrate the festive season.

Our latest ad for Very.co.uk, which launches today (17th October), is set at a stereotypical office party. As you would expect, there are streamers, cheese and pineapple chunks on sticks and the obligatory festive mistletoe, but continuing from our recent Definitions campaign we present the girls in gorgeous, head-turning outfits from the Very collection to create a much more stylish party than your average office do.

The ad follows a series of vignettes, shot using a motion control camera, which culminate in a final end scene featuring Fearne Cotton. The impressive soundtrack is an original remix of Tainted Love sang by Gloria Jones and remixed by up-and-coming producer Ryan Hemsworth, and is sure to catch your attention every time it comes on your TV.

All the dresses, including Fearne’s from her signature collection, can be shopped online at Very.co.uk, so make your Christmas party a stylish one this year.

Get a sneak peek of the ad by clicking on the image, or catch it on your screens from tonight! Let us know what you think at @stlukescomms.

Autumn Winter 2013 gets the Littlewoods Touch

The nights are drawing in, and as we mourn the end of summer, it's time to get excited about the glow of Autumn and wrapping up from the cold.

Today we launched our Autumn Winter advert for Littlewoods! Set at a beautiful traditional fairground, Myleene Klass is back to give her "Littlewoods Touch" and we have a cameo appearance from Goodsouls brand ambassador and TV presenter Mark Wright. The soundtrack is by up and coming singer Arlissa and is called "Into the Light" and you can watch it from the image below.

The advert showcases the fantastic pieces available in the AW13 women’s fashion range as well as featuring key items from the children’s and men’s collections. Myleene travels through the fairground, giving the "Littlewoods Touch" to transform outfits from casual day to sumptuous nightwear. We've got all the trimmings - a coconut shy, candy floss stand, a beautiful Victorian style steam carousel and a   Test Your Strength Machine, which is where she meets Mark Wright.

It was a fantastic set, and we definitely got involved with the carousel while shooting! Myleene and Mark also appeared to enjoy themselves, as they got involved with the Behind the Scenes film which you can watch here.

Our display at St Luke's has also joined in with the occasion, and features candy floss, coconuts, sweeties, yellow ducks and fairy lights!

Whatever you do, do it in style with Definitions

Our much anticipated 'Everyday Stylish' campaign for Very.co.uk went live on 5th September, with its debut 30s spot during Emmerdale and the 40s during X Factor last Saturday night!

The ad follows a series of beautifully stylish women carrying out a series of banal activities but looking amazing in the new Definitions range from the brand. The idea behind the campaign is to show that no matter what you are doing: in the office, doing your weekly shop or making your breakfast, then Very can help you find the right outfit to make you feel fabulous.

Using motion control technology, along with trying to capture the stillness and beauty of a typical fashion photo shoot, results in a sumptuous film with a fluid and dream like quality.  By limiting movement to only a few small elements within the ad, then we are able to really focus the attention on the details of the product. The ethereal soundtrack is Fineshrine by Purity Ring, and it adds a whole new level of cool to the Very portfolio.

The campaign can also be seen across: static & digital posters, online and print, so it can't be missed!Watch below, and let us know what you think!

Very does dating in style with Girlfriends

You enjoy watching dating shows on TV. Come on, admit it.

Whether you keep it under wraps or are openly besotted, there is something undeniably captivating about watching people flirt, trying to impress or going on a date. Call it nosey, call it research, or simply trying to make yourself feel better; from the good old days of Cilla and Blind Date to Take Me Out, First Dates, The Bachelor and Love Machine, as a nation we have been bitten by the dating TV love-bug.

Very.co.uk are sponsoring the new series of ITV2’s latest offering “Girlfriends”, which twists the dating show format as it focuses on three single ladies who move in together and meet/interview each of the 100 men who come to the Girlfriends' house, choosing who they’d like to date as they go along. But with a limited number of dates allowed, and competition amongst themselves to bag Mr Right, there will definitely be some drama along the way.

We have created a series of 6 sponsorship idents for Very, which will bookend the show's breaks with different date scenarios - from a movie night, to a picnic, dinner and the will they or won’t they? kiss on the doorstep - all showing the date girl and her counterparts looking perfectly stylish with every detail covered. From the last minute accessory, to the more abstract tissue on hand to wipe away a tear, we show that Very have got your back to make sure you’re ready to take on your love life in style.

The new series of Girlfriends starts tonight, Wednesday 14th August at 9pm on ITV2.

You can check out all the idents in the image above, and I admit, I’ll be watching.

The Only Way is Littlewoods for Mark Wright!

Dapper ITV2 star and Heart FM DJ, Mark Wright has joined Littlewoods as the new brand ambassador for their menswear label, Goodsouls.

The unveiling of his debut capsule collection tied in with the start of London Collections: Men's fashion week. It includes casual t-shirts, jeans and jumpers, as well as suits and outerwear, with the aim of taking men and their wardrobes from date-night to an evening out with the boys.

Gary Kibble, retail director for Littlewoods, said: "We couldn't be more thrilled that Mark has joined the Littlewoods family as style ambassador for our Goodsouls range. His popularity among our customer base is unmatched by any other male celebrity in the UK at the moment and we're confident that his personal style and eye for fashion will translate into a collection that our customers will love."

We're looking forward to working with him in future Littlewoods ads too, and the collection is available from www.littlewoods.com as of today, 20th June.

Topping the charts again!

This may give you a slight sense of déjà vu, but no, we're not repeating old news! Very.co.uk have made it to the top of the Marketing magazine chart of the 'Top Ten Ads of the Week" for ads with the highest recall by viewers this week.

This comes only two weeks after two of our Shop Direct brands occupied the top two spots in the same  chart. With Very taking the top spot, and Littlewoods still sitting pretty at number 4 we're the only fashion retail brands in the top 10 and show that our ads resonate well amongst their audience.

Here's to more Very stylish ads to come!
