Today is the 40th anniversary of one the best loved children's books, Eric Carle's 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'. Google is paying tribute to the book today by redesigning their logo in the style of the book's illustrations.
George W. Bush was once asked what his favourite book was as a child, and he said how he loved 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'. Suppose it makes sense, since the book was first published in 1969, a year after he graduated from Yale.
