The new Saatchi Gallery at the Old Duke of York's barracks in Chelsea was last week's culture club trip and while a lot of money has been spent on this building, I really like what they've done with it. You still got a great feel for the old barracks by the glass inards linking everything together, and the space they've created is great for big exhibitions. It rained whilst we were there, and although some might say the artwork matched the dreary London weather, I personally thought it was really interesting. A lot of the work has some dark wit surrounding it and that really appeals to me - the Old Persons Home was brilliant the way the wheelchair bound geriatrics seemed uncannily like various world leaders harmlessly fighting it out on random collision courses for one another. It's free to get in - so get yourself down there!!
